Professional Experience

In addition to extensive industrial research, articles, publications, and technical seminars, Robert Hoyt has developed helical pile and push pier products for three different manufacturers.

  • From 1972-1978 and again from 1981-2000, Robert Hoyt served in various engineering capacities for A.B. Chance Co., including Principal Engineer and Engineering Manager
  • Atlas Systems, Inc. employed Robert Hoyt as their Vice-President and head Engineer from 2000-2004.
  • Since 2005, Robert Hoyt has served as consulting engineer for Drive Rite Piering System.

Professional Affiliations

  • Chair for the Deep Foundations Institute Committee on Helical Foundations and Tiebacks from 2005-2007
  • Founding Member, Geo-Institute
  • Fellow, American Society of Civil Engineers
